Visit every single Spirit Halloween location in your state.

You must purchase at least one costume item at each location.

Assemble a costume from each piece collected and put it on.

Sell something from a pawn shop at a pawn shop (2x)

Purchase any item at a pawn shop. This money does not come out of your travel budget. Travel to a pawn shop in a different state, and sell the item purchased at the first pawn shop. You must receive at least 50% of the value that you paid for the item originally. Unless already claimed, claim both states.

File a geodetic mark recovery form

Locate a national geodetic marker and travel to it.

Accurately fill out a “Mark Recovery Form” on the NGS website with all applicable data and submit it.

Photograph your partner from far away

From a distance of at least half a mile, one team member must take a photo of their other team member.

High five at the highest point ☆

Capture a photo of both team members jumping and high fiving at the highest point in the state.

The highest point must be publicly accessible and you must both be off the ground when high fiving.

Find the most foreign license plate

At the end of 15 minutes, the team to find a license plate from a state or country furthest from their current location wins.

Only license plates captured in person on video count.

The distance is measured from the location the plate was spotted to the closest point in that state or country.

Respect the weirdest roadside attraction ☆

Visit the weirdest roadside attraction in your state. You must stand directly in front of it and salute it for the entire duration of the national anthem.

If it is possible to gain admission to the attraction (i.e. a museum) you must do so and spend at least 15 minutes there.

Win a prize from a claw machine

The claw machine can be anywhere and any size, but it must be reasonably recognizable as a claw machine.

You may play the claw machine as many times as you want.

Get drunk, again

One team member must be legally intoxicated. This can be done at any bar, restaurant, or other venue that serves alcohol.

You must ask the bartender or server what liquor they recommend and order shots of that liquor.

See the Intoxication Chart for reference.

Photograph the most birds

At the end of 15 minutes, the team that has photographed the most birds wins.

Any given bird can only be counted once, but multiple birds can be in one photo.

All birds must be clearly visible, and must be actual birds, not a facsimile or representation.

You cannot intentionally photograph the same bird twice.

Spend $100 at Buc-ee’s

Travel to any Buc-ee’s store.

Spend at least $100. You may exceed this number by at most $10. This money does not come out of your travel budget.

Take a Chevy to a levee and eat pie ☆

You must arrive at the levee, or arrive as close as possible to the levee, in a Chevrolet brand car.

While in proximity to the levee, both team members must, between them, fully consume at least one slice of pie. It can be any kind of pie.

Criticize the most beautiful place ☆

Travel to the most beautiful location in your state. While as close as reasonably possible to the place, list three things that you hate about it.

See the Beautiful Place list for reference.

Travel to any In-N-Out restaurant.

Both team members must consume the entirety of at least one menu item.

Find a four leaf clover as a leprechaun

At least one team member must be dressed as a leprechaun. The costume must include a hat and several accessories.

The costume may be makeshift, and is open to creative interpretation.

Either team member must find an authentic, natural four leaf clover in the wild.

Forge great American art ☆

Using our American Artist list, travel to a piece of art created by a great American Artist. Attempt to forge it.

You must use at least 3 different colors, cover at least 75% of the canvas, and spend at least 15 minutes drawing or painting.

Eat soup in a helicopter ☆☆

You can consume any kind of soup.

You must be in a helicopter when you consume the soup and the helicopter must be in the air.

Draw George Washington

Each team must select one player to draw a portrait of George Washington. That player has 30 minutes to gather materials and create the portrait in any way possible.

At the end of the 30 minutes, a photo of each portrait must be posted anonymously on Twitter by Sam, with a poll asking his followers to choose the best portrait. Voting closes after 15 minutes, and the best portrait wins.

Get a hole in one in mini golf ☆

Score a hole in one at a mini golf course. A team cannot play a hole more than once; if you run out of holes, you must go to a different course.

Any hole where a hole in one is expected does not count.

Spell “HELP” in rocks on an island

Travel to a landmass officially defined as an island.

Anywhere on the island, legibly spell the word “HELP” using rocks collected from the island.

Each letter must be at least one foot tall.

You must properly disassemble at the end.

Ineffectively advertise Jet Lag: The Game ☆

Go to the smallest town in your state, and put up a single poster advertising Jet Lag: The Game.

During the same game day, both team members must touch both the Atlantic and Pacific ocean.

You cannot spend more than $50 on materials.

The raft must be constructed of multiple utilitarian elements which may include flotation devices.

Shoot a bullseye

You must strike the bullseye of a target with an arrow, fired from a bow, from a distance of at least 15 feet.

The bullseye is defined as the centermost ring of a target.

Neither the target, bow, or arrow can be makeshift.

One team member must perform a full skydive from an airplane with an accredited skydiving business.

You must verify that you will be able to film yourself skydiving.

Make s’mores over an open fire

The stone must skip (touch the water) at least three times.

Bet on roulette

Bet as much of your budget as you want on roulette, betting on either black or red. Keep whatever you make.

If you lose, you don’t claim the state. Discard this card and draw a new card.

Whether you win or lose, you must do a 15-second direct-to-camera PSA about the dangers of gambling.

Take a picture of the mayor

Take a photograph where the mayor of whatever city, town, or municipality you are currently in is visible.

You cannot photograph an existing photo of the mayor.

Transport a pumpkin (2x)
